 |
- Serving the Community of Mtn. Brook, and 12 different Little Leagues; the website hit counter just
recently passed the 1 million website visit mark. Activity continues to escalate with monthly site visits now averaging 30,000 to
50,000 hits a month. Given the comparative population (25,000) demographics this site serves, there is no doubt this is the busiest
website in the State of Alabama
- The site is built upon a tightly integrated database structure - Microsoft Access. Contrary to many misconceptions
about Access; it handles the traffic on this site with no problems and is always a good option for
clients getting started on a low database budget
- Site is strongly supported by client user input, with the Executive Director and League Commissioners
updating pertinent data through remote/web access

Public Fund Investing Tracking
|
- This site is brand new -started on Feb 28th, 2010. The full site nfreastructure was in place in 3 days
- The base page design was provided by a 3rd party graphics designer (submitted in Phooshop (.psd) format. The website is literally
an exact replication of the static Photoshop design

- Note: The bond calculator has been converted into an iPhone application. Code and calculations were provided to a 3rd party for
this project (iphone requires MAC programming platform). However with the pending release of Adobe Flash CS5, future iPhone projects
will be handled internally by me inasmuch this new Flash release fully support iphone programming on a PC platform.

High Log Creek Hunting
|
- This website is a "mature" site,
coded simply in HTML and javascript.
- Personally, I would have never designed this format. However, it is
built exactly like the client specified, and no changes (other than some relevant dates) have ever been made since its original
launch several years ago.
- Moral of the story: Listen to the client, and give them what they want!

R2Metrics
|
- I am the prior CTO of R2metrics/ This site represents an entire transformation of a Financial Analytics company from an Excel-based flatform
to a web-based, real-time delivery of highly sophisticate financial analysis.
Because the site is log-in protected, I would not infringe upon
their content, but suffice it to say that there are many examples of detailed reports and data transformations.
As far as the efficiency of the move to the web... calculation times of 20+ minutes on MS Excel were reduced to less than 1 minute.
- Data retrieval via Dot.net Web dDta Services (XML)
- Database integration: MySQL
- Site features include: data access via XML compliant web services, propriety coded calculation class libraries, and Dot.Net Master page Structure
- Primary Coding Platform: Dot.Net 2.0; coded under Microsoft's new medium trust security environment

Mountain Brook Sports Corp.
|
- This site is a brand new work-in-progress;
and is a first effort at developing a MS Silverlight website.
- There is a rapidly expaning supply of documentation online, and Microsoft's challenge
to Adobe's Flash platform will almost certainly be substantial
- Conclusion: Too much learning curve and development time required for a cost-efficient website. If the client requires
the Silverlight, refer him to a Silverlight specialist
- Recommendation: Utilze Flash Component Website Templates and customize to client specs.
- Primary Coding Platform: Silverlight; coded under Microsoft's new medium trust security environment
- Web Server: Windows

Over-The-Mountain Basketball
|
- The no-charge website is a very similar structure to the Mountain Brook Athletics (Mountain Brook Athletics (MBA)
site
- Site Difference: the client support level to the site is only 5% of that provided by MBA
- Moral: Site developers cannot single handedly make a website successful; no matter how good the design!
